James William Gibson, 68, of Bristol, Va., went to be with the Lord, Monday, December 9, 2013, at Johnson City Medical Center. He was born in Pittsburgh, Pa., a son of the late Lloyd W. and Alberta Pellin Gibson. James was a United States Army Reserves Veteran. He moved to Bristol in 1983, and was a Senior Design Engineer. James was a member of Central Presbyterian Church. He was loved and honored by all. He is survived by his wife, Trish A. Gibson; daughter, Dawn Gibson; son, Mike Gibson; grandchildren, Sarah, Jordana, Bryce, and Brenden; great-granddaughter, Maliyah; special friends, Patricia, mother of Jordana and Bryce; and Carrie, mother of Brenden Funeral services will be held 1 p.m., Friday, December 13, 2013 ,at the Weaver Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mike Chamberlin officiating. Burial will follow at Mountain View Cemetery
